The story so far
Goddard Accounting is a Chartered Accountancy firm based in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire. Founded in 2026 by Lewis Goddard, the firm provides accounting, tax and business advisory services with a genuine focus on client relationships.
Having worked in both accountancy practice and industry, I’ve seen the profession from both sides of the relationship. I’ve experienced the traditional practice model, as well as working within a global technology business where accurate financial information was closely connected to commercial decision-making.
Those experiences shaped what I wanted Goddard to be: a modern accountancy firm that combines the technical standards you'd expect from a Chartered Accountant, with a genuinely personal approach.
The recent rise in the use of AI is making accountancy more efficient than ever, and I believe it should enhance the service clients receive. It will not, however, replace professional judgement, client relationships or real-life experience earned over the years. With us, clients will benefit from our ability to use modern technology while still knowing exactly who is looking after their finances.
